Facebook launching new features March 11th, great potential for increased online website visibility

8 Mar

picture 96 Facebook launching new features March 11th, great potential for increased online website visibilityI am fascinated by what is possible for your business via Facebook. I have multiple accounts for business pages and also use it regularly to keep in touch with friends. With my personal and professional interaction increasing, I feel more balanced and in touch than ever. And our sales are increasing with more Facebook and Twitter use – so it’s great all around.

I’m excited about the “stream” home page changes that are coming to Facebook this week (March 11th). More “real-time” interaction is the trend, and I’m eager to see the new applications. According to Rob Hof @ Business Week:

“The redesign is interesting because now these pages will look more like typical profile pages, which is to say, they’ll change a lot more often, potentially getting people to visit more often. The pages also will now include status updates, the short messages that are the heart of Facebook’s social glue, giving brands ways to provide more regular and potentially more engaging communications with customers or fans. And content from the Pages will show up more often in the feeds of fans who friend them.”

With the new Pages, Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook’s CEO) says, “Now, once you have connections to all these people, you have ways to engage them.”
