Christmas with African refugees at Mom’s House
14 Dec
My mom, Lila Dixon, volunteers her time working with a group of African refugees in our home town of Colorado Springs. This holiday season she invited a group of people over to experience the joy of the season in her home. She explained the significance of many American traditions, and we were treated to a traditional African Christmas song!
As always, I had my audio recorder, video camera and digital camera ready to go. And it was fun teaching Johnny Boscoe and Janie (seen in the video) how to use my equipment.
I have created a website to post videos and photos highlighting the community outreach work my mom and dad are doing locally in Colorado Springs. You can check it out here – SpringsOutreach.com.
Happy holidays!
